Local preferences
The site stores small preference values in your browser using localStorage, including the selected light/dark theme and your analytics choice. These values stay in your browser unless you clear site data.
Optional first-party analytics
If you accept analytics, the homepage sends first-party usage information to the Transit Signs MC server. The current implementation can record visit counts, hour of visit, referrer domain, UTM campaign parameters, approximate country code when supplied by the hosting/CDN, and session-duration aggregates.
For daily unique-visitor estimation, the server creates a one-day pseudonymous hash derived from the visitor IP address and the current date. The raw IP address is not written into the analytics JSON file by this mechanism. Daily unique hashes and daily visit buckets are pruned after approximately 30 days; aggregate counters may remain longer.
If you decline
Optional first-party visit/session analytics does not start. Essential site functions such as theme selection, navigation and downloads continue to work.
External services
The site can load resources or link to services operated by third parties, including Google Fonts, CurseForge, Modrinth, GitHub, Discord, Patreon, Instagram, Reddit and Wikimedia-hosted media. When you request resources from or follow links to those providers, their own privacy policies apply and they may receive standard connection information such as your IP address and browser headers.
Downloads
Download buttons may pass through a first-party redirect endpoint so aggregate download-click statistics can be maintained before you are sent to the configured CurseForge or Modrinth destination.
Data sale and advertising profiles
Transit Signs MC does not use the first-party analytics described above to sell personal data or build advertising profiles.
Managing your preference
You can clear the site's local storage in your browser to reset your privacy choice. On your next homepage visit, the preference prompt will be shown again.
